Ace Motorhomes have announced a major increase in their product range and a move into a new market sector with the launch a four model line up of Airstream low profile models that promise to have some of the most competitive prices in this rapidly growing part of the market.
The Airstream luxury low profile models are based on the impressive new Fiat X2/50 Ducato cab which has taken the base vehicle market by storm with its ultra modern new styling, car type driving features and market leading new range of engines and gearboxes.
The special lowline version of the Fiat chassis has allowed the Ace designers to keep the overall height under 2.8m including the integral roof bars and multi directional TV aerial. It has also enabled Ace to create generous amounts of internal storage, whilst retaining good head room throughout in the new Airstream models.
The ideal combination of price and specification was the clear brief in creating these exciting new models, which offer a choice of two engines. The 630 models start with the 100 hp Fiat Multi-Jet diesel engine, which is linked to a five speed gearbox and produces almost as much torque and power as the old 2.3 litre JTD diesel.
For those wanting performance even better than the old 2.8 litre JTD engine, the option of specifying the new 130hp Multi-Jet engine, which comes with a six speed gearbox as standard and auxiliary en route heating, is available at extra cost. The 680 FB model has the 130hp engine as standard.
Both engines comply with the new Euro4 emission standards and give much improved power, torque and fuel consumption which is maximised by the Airstream’s stunning exterior shape which is designed to be ultra fuel and performance efficient proving the ideal combination for fast comfortable and efficient touring.
The four layouts have been selected to provide the ultimate choice for couples with a comprehensive mix of seating and sleeping arrangements including a fixed bed layout.
High levels of standard specification move these Ace’s into the top level of comfort while still maintaining a class leading price structure. A whole host of cab and engine options together with the option to specify the optional Diamond Pack of high tech gadgets for the motorhome gives the potential owner a real choice to personalise the final specification.
The Diamond Pack includes a recessed pull out awning, reversing camera, fold down 7” colour TV screen, DVD player, Freeview TV receiver and portable satnav system with full European mapping. This pack will initially be available at a very competitive launch price which is likely to end before Christmas.
