Eccles and Elite go wider and offer higher levels of specification

01/09/2006

All Sterling Elite twin axle models and three of the single axle Eccles models move up to 7’6” in width, making these layouts noticeably more roomy inside. This extra room has been created without adding extra weight to the layouts concerned.

Elite models also use this extra space in the Searcher and Explorer layouts to gain an extra 2” around the beds and in the central floor areas. A new Overlander 4 berth with fixed twin beds and end washroom also joins the range.

End washroom layouts in the Eccles range have been revised to give better design and improved facilities, new 7’6” wide fixed double bed and twin bed layouts join the range (Jewel and Jade), and a redesign of the furniture has allowed a larger 107 litre fridge and standard microwave oven in stylish silver moulded surround to be featured in the kitchens.

General improvements across both ranges include a move to thicker and tougher one piece high gloss aluminium sides which are further enhanced with new chrome style brand and range graphics. The upgraded exterior treatment is completed with a new exterior door with solid feel closing action, an improved handle and locking mechanism and an integral was bin in the interior door liner.

Inside, the furniture moves to the Swift Group’s strong and light “spaceframe” locker construction. There is a new front ceiling light feature panel, new reading lights that revolve and give a much stronger light, a more modern design to the electrical control panel and a shaped fitted entrance door mat.

Seating design in both ranges has also been improved and uses “Nairobi” or Millesime” contempory chenille fabrics, which combined with the light oak wood furniture gives these Sterling ranges their unique Scandanavian appeal.

Specification increases include a satellite aerial input socket in the external battery compartment, new pressurised water system with domestic style taps and an easy action concertina exterior door flyscreen.

All models get the 107 litre fridge except the Elite Searcher which gets the added advantage of a massive 180 litre fridge with special wine cooler section which is unique to the Swift Group.

These improvements in specification come in addition to the already high levels of security and comfort which include exclusive alloy wheels with Al-Ko Secure portable wheel lock(s), heavy duty corner steadies, BBQ and 230v connections, radio/CD/MP3 player and an infrared alarm system.
