Swift Group sales top £22 million at NEC Show

Swift Group, manufacturers of the Ace, Abbey, Sprite, Sterling and Swift brands of touring caravans, and Ace, Bessacarr and Swift ranges of motorhomes, announced record sales of £22.5 million worth of products at the International Caravan and Motorhome Show held at the NEC Birmingham last week.

This is the largest figure achieved by the group at a major show and comes at the end of a record year for the Group with increased market shares in both the caravan and motorhome markets.

Motorhome sales of over £9.5 million reflected the ongoing success of the company's low profile models and the successful launch of three mid priced multi-berth Luton ranges of motorhomes offering high levels of comfort and top end luxury exterior appeal for just over £40,000.

Touring caravan sales of over £13 million included strong sales of both the Swift Conqueror and Sterling Elite which were launched just before the show and are the first UK manufactured products to feature silver metallic side panels. Sales of the revived Sprite range were also well ahead of expectations.

"This show was launched last year and was an instant success. Despite attendance levels being slightly down this year, this was still a very strong performance for the group which is now clear market leader in both the touring caravan and motorhome markets", Swift Group Sales and Marketing Director Richard White commented.
