The class-leading Bessacarr E700 and Swift Kon-Tiki, each with a new TAG axle model and improved specification, will be launched at the International Caravan & Motorhome Show 2007 at the NEC from October 16-21.
Both the E700 and Swift Kon-Tiki, which are the best-performing, most luxurious motorhome line-ups ever launched by Swift, now have two TAG axle layouts taking each range to six.
The new Kon-Tiki 679 and Bessacarr E789 layouts feature a raised rear double bed with garage space underneath, centre kitchen and washroom, front dinette or single bed and a second large and comfortable double bed over the cab.
Built on the Fiat/AL-KO low-line chassis with 190mm (7 1/2”) double floor, all models in each range feature underfloor storage space, which is suitable for large or muddy items.
Other new key features across both ranges are ‘Ultra Comfort’ domestic standard mattresses on fixed beds, 15” LCD TV with integral Freeview and analogue tuner, DVD/CD player and DVB radio, Blaupunkt radio/CD/MP3 player now with i-Pod/MP3 connection and a Blaupunkt Lucca 5.2 portable navigation and entertainment unit.
The new dual fuel Truma ‘Combi’ central heating system ensures effective heating both en-route and on site while the new Fiat ‘Fix-and-Go’ puncture repair kit gets you back on the road without changing the wheel.
Exteriors are impressive with one-piece GRP roof with integral roof bars, fully moulded spacious overcab, one-piece GRP rear panel, gloss white front bumper, full-length recessed awning, alloy wheels and thick gauge, one-piece aluminium sides which are metallic silver on the Kon-Tiki.
With a choice of either Fiat’s 130 MultiJet engine, the 160 MultiJet Power version, both with six-speed gearboxes, or the 160 MultiJet Power with the new Comfort-Matic automatic gearbox, the Kon-Tiki and E700 ensure class-leading performance and economy as well as impressive power and torque.
These powerful engines combine with the stylish Fiat X2/50 Ducato cab and low-line AL-KO chassis to give exceptional handling, while comfort is assured thanks to fully adjustable, swivelling driver and passenger seats and low noise level. The vehicle also offers ABS brakes, driver’s airbag, cab air conditioning and electric windows and mirrors as standard.
Other key features include colour reversing camera with infra-red night vision, 97-litre or 150-litre automatic energy selection fridge/freezer, roof rack and ladder and high specification entrance door with remote central locking.
Sophisticated and luxurious, interiors also include pleated blinds throughout the cab and accommodation, built-in microwave oven and, in the E700, part-leather upholstery.
All models can be enhanced with a homologated towbar and electrics, a Dometic B2200 roof mounted air conditioner, Comfort-Matic automatic gearbox and a 160 MultiJet Power engine (160 MultiJet Power engine is standard on TAG axle models).
